It can be easy for me to get caught up in all the places I'd like to go, but I have to be really careful not to forget the wonders in my own backyard. Tonight, I had the pleasure of practicing yoga at Grace Cathedral, just two blocks from my house. Not only is the setting idyllic, but it's free! The class is held every Wednesday at 6:15. It has been taught by Jamie Lindsay for the past 15 years.
We spread our mats around the labyrinth and I laid there looking up at the French Gothic ceiling above me. At one point the tower bells rang and I could feel the bell chimes reverberating through the cold floor at my fingertips. You just don't get those kind of chances every day!
Unfortunately for us, Jamie is moving to New York and his last class will be on July 22nd. If we want this special class to continue, then its important that we let Grace Cathedral know it. I encourage you to contact them whether you're a long time participant, a new-comer like me, or would like to try it sometime in the future.
